Background

Historicly, Belitung Island was known as the center of the nation's tin mining. For years Belitung people relay on mining as their main income. However, the unconventional mining restricted by the government, these restrictions lead to shifting behavior from mining to creative economy. This situation was also affected by the one hit wonder "Laskar Pelangi" in 2018, despite their potential geographic and nature resources as one of purposed UNESCO global geopark
